Came here with my girlfriend for our anniversary meal. From the greeting at the door to the drink at the bar while we waited to get seated everyone was lovely and the cocktails on offer and the ones we got were amazing! When we got to the table there was a lovely piggy with happy anniversary written on it which was a lovely touch (we named the Snarfel for the duration of the meal). Our server was Ruby who was amazing and extremely polite and attentive and was fantastic. We ordered more cocktails and ordered the Platter for two, it was amazing, great variety and well worth the money, could not have eaten anymore! For pudding we had the frozen custard (Fro-co on the menu) which was a great pudding then we were surprised by Ruby with a board that had happy anniversary written in powdered sugar on it and a donut with cream and a candle and sparkler this was an extremely lovely surprise! And was very much appreciated. There were two other servers while we ate a Gentleman and another lady whose names I did not catch who were also very nice. Also the memorabilia/decorations around the restaurant are a fantastic touch which I did not know about before going. I loved it, as a geeky human my personal favourite is the Nuka Cola cap on the wall near the bar. All in all can’t say enough nice things about this place from the amazing service from Ruby and the rest of the staff we encountered who were extremely friendly especially during a busy diner service to the amazing presentation of the food and great quality of what we received and the fantastic restaurant. I will definitely be coming back and thank you for making this a memorable evening.

The restaurant captures the atmosphere of an 70's-80's US smokehouse so perfectly, you'd doubt you're still in the UK - until the staff's accent gives the game away. We visited the day after Halloween and besides the outside decor, some of the waitresses had cool costumes/make up. The tables were a bit small (a box for 4 could fit barely fit us and the food almost didn't fit the table and would hardly accommodate even two "big" americans), but comfy. The atmosphere was lively without being too noisy. Among the 4 of us, we ordered two starters, one meal and a menu for two and had found it difficult to eat all of it, but it was so tasty we had to try... Had we ordered a full meal for everyone, we'd have to be rolled away!

I recently visited Hickories, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We decided to try the Smokehouse Platter for two, and it was absolutely amazing—packed with a variety of perfectly smoked meats, bursting with flavor. The portion was generous, and each bite was better than the last. For drinks, we had an amazing root beer, an insanely good Hard Cola Cherry drink, and a refreshing grape soda. Each drink complemented the rich, smoky flavors of the platter perfectly. But the highlights didn’t stop there. Dessert was an absolute treat. We tried the Frozen Custard Honeycomb Toffee Fudge and the Strawberry Cream Jam Jar Cheesecake—both were incredible. The frozen custard was smooth and decadent, while the cheesecake was creamy, with the perfect balance of sweetness and fruity tang. Beyond the fantastic food, the atmosphere was exactly what you'd want from an American smokehouse—warm, rustic, and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. The place was spotless, which added to the overall experience. Hickories is one of my favorite places to dine, and it never disappoints. The quality of the food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the attentive staff make it worth every penny. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and a fantastic dining experience.

Amazing food and atmosphere. We were traveling back to london from the Lakes , and we found this on our way to Peak District. We were all so hungry and still there was so much leftover food . We ordered a sharing plate .fantastic meal .

We went here because my mum and dad were so kind to gift us the experience. We hadn't been before so we were happy to try somewhere different and we weren't disappointed Thank you for the delicious food and the wonderful customer service. We'll definitely be back again

I love Hickory Smokehouse so much!! I’ve been to the one in Chester & I love that the servers & members are so kind & welcoming.Unfortunately I didn’t get the guys name who served us but he was amazing it’s our first time inside because in Chester we were outside & it was so cosy.Live music & the football on which my boyfriend loved & we were seated closer to the bar which I loved. Love my Pina Colada/Strawberry Daiquiri my favourite drink when coming here,I used to be a well done steak lover until I got medium well & it did not disappoint. FAVOURITE IS THE CHICKEN WINGS (Louisiana Hot) reminiscing about them right now. I will give all my money to this place only IF I could. Cannot wait to visit again I AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN! thanks to my bf yet again!

I got there very early in the day, having walked from the AVRO Heritage Museum, so I was for a little while just about the only person there. It soon started filling up, though, and I can see why. The staff were lovely, the food hot and tasty and the venue large and welcoming in a nicely relaxed way. I had the rack of ribs in maple glaze which was excellent. Highly recommended.

Can't thank the team enough for the most amazing Christmas Eve meal! Warmly greeted, great festive atmosphere, friendly service and of course, INCREDIBLE food! It gets a bit crazy by the movie theatre for the kids, so as adults only, it would be great to sit in a more calm area (we constantly had kids running past!) But it didn't take away from our great meal. Will definitely be back.
